Al-Aqsa Masjid in the city of Al- Quds (Jerusalem ) is the third holiest site in Islam. It is dear to the hearts of Muslims as it was the first Masjid that they turned to in prayer before the Ka`ba. It is also the Masjid that the Prophet Mohammad was taken to on the night journey (Isra` and Miraaj) and the place where he led all the prophets in prayer.
Al-AqsaMasjid is the entire noble sanctuary, which includes not only Omar’s Masjid but also the Dome of the Rock and other land marks inside the stone fence totaling more than 200 places. The entire area covers over 144,000 square meters and therefore encompasses over one sixth of Jerusalem’s old city. Prayer anywhere within the enclosed sanctuary will be weighed 500 times more than prayer in a regular Masjid, in terms of reward.

Masjid Al-Aqsa di Al-Quds (Jerusalem)
Masjid Al-Aqsa di bandar Al-Quds (Jerusalem) adalah tapak ketiga paling suci dalam Islam. Ia adalah permata hati orang Islam kerana ia adalah Masjid pertama yang menjadi arah kiblat dalam solat sebelum Ka'abah. Ia juga Masjid dimana Nabi Muhammad telah dibawa ke dalam perjalanan malam (Isra `dan Miraaj) dan tempat di mana beliau mengetuai semua nabi di dalam solatnya.
Masjid Al-Aqsa adalah tempat perlindungan yang mulia keseluruhan, yang termasuk bukan sahaja Masjid Omar tetapi juga Dome of the Rock dan mercu tanda lain di dalam pagar batu yang berjumlah lebih daripada 200 tempat. Keseluruhan kawasan meliputi lebih 144,000 meter persegi dan merangkumi lebih daripada satu per enam bandar lama Jerusalem. Berdoalah di mana-mana sahaja dalam kawasan tersebut, anda akan diberi ganjaran 500 kali lebih banyak daripada solat di Masjid biasa.
